Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are a good alternative to or supplement to spectacles. They are especially good for sports. Some people like to wear their spectacles most of the time and wear contact lenses for social wear and sports. Others like to wear contact lenses most of the time and spectacles only occasionally. We cater for all eventualities.
Contact lenses can be: Daily disposable, monthly / 2 weekly disposable or continuous wear.
Sometimes specialised yearly disposable contact lenses are used for more complicated prescriptions. Most prescriptions can be corrected with contact lenses. From simple short sighted / long sighted to astigmatism and multifocal lenses are now also available to give distance and reading vision.
Newer contact lenses use Silicone Hydrogel, which allows the eye to breathe as if there was no contact lenses in. This material allows maximum oxygen through the lens to keep the eye healthy.
